Arco is a picturesque small town located a short way north of Riva del Garda and Torbole in the Sarca valley. Although it is not on the lake, it is popular for visitors to Lake Garda looking for an adventure break.

The rock faces above the town are the location of one of the best-known rock climbing areas in Europe and a world-class climbing meet is held here every September. Those who are not at an elite level can enjoy a bit of climbing (or just observing!) during the cooler part of the day and then head down to Torbole on the lake for a bit of windsurfing.
